"I hope you dance..."

Aaaaahhhh! I did it for the first time. I thought I was late for my 10 AM Education lecture so I ran to uni and then into the theatre but then it was empty.

Me: ……………………………..
Me: AAAAH!! Wait, 10 AM. It’s 10 AM, the class is at 10 on Friday. It should be here. OMFG did everyone move rooms and I wasn’t around to hear this. Why is it deserted?!!
Me: *digs through book to check timetable in case it’s a 2 hour tutorial instead of lecture*
Book: WEEK 8 – NO CLASSES (currently it is week 8)
Me: …………………………….

So I paid my rental bills and bought ‘The Thief Lord’ for next week’s English lecture/tutorial but I doubt I will find the time to read it. And dragged myself back home since media lecture is at 2.

Got my first media essay back. A C. Bleh. I’m kind of disappointed, although I should be happy getting a credit considering media is like my worse subject and like the only subject where I don’t do any readings and I never listen in lectures. Forgot to mention that I got a D for my first English lit essay. Which is really good. It kind of reassures me that my English critique and writing ability is on a good enough level that I can survive to be an English literature major. I was really worried about that before coming here. I was a bit nervous for this essay also because I applied all the standard literary critique techniques as usual but I wasn’t sure whether it would work considering this is a fantasy unit. And fantasy is just a bit different from say, Shakespeare. Gotta do better on my next media essay (due right after MANIFEST, yes I don’t think I’m gonna do well….)

When I got back from my 5 AM tutorial, everyone in Roberts was dressed all nice and stuff. Since today is the Roberts ball. I didn’t go because I don’t have enough friends in Roberts that I would care to go to the ball (and all my Roberts friends aren’t going anyway besides a few). Yeah, that and I have AMARANTH for next Thursday already, I don’t want to go to anymore balls. They aren’t exactly cheap. But yeah, before everyone left they took the Roberts Hall annual photo in the common room, so I quickly dressed up in like 10 minutes just to get that photo. It was kind of funny.

After that, ran back to my room and changed again to go to the OCF (Overseas Christian Fellowship) event. Went there with Amanda, Jia Chi, Sharon, Stan and Jonathan. Saw Izzzati, Ieja and co. who were going to Roberts Hall for a BBQ (yeah, I saw their group setting up during the photo shoot). The OCT thing was a musical drama sort of thing with free food and stuff. It was pretty amusing and I liked the dancing and music, and the story of the musical did have some good values represented there. I felt a bit iffy during the service but it wasn’t really a big deal. Yeah, most of the gang was there (Tsan, Mitze, Han Lin, Winston, Nicholas, V, Jean and etc). It was a pretty funny night. V’s sexuality is now in question, hahaha (his reputation is sky plummeting). I ran into Sarah Chhan there, which was kind of surprising. I have never met up with her in Melbourne actually. I was a bit surprised she messaged me all of a sudden asking whether I was at OCF.

Our group! Photo taken by Stan. From the left is Jean Marc, Mitze, umm.. person I dunno, Tsan, Nicholas, Han Lin, V, Jia Chi, Amanda and me!

Funny face~

And it seems we are going to St. Kilda on Sunday! Yay, with our happy lil’ group. Looking forward to it. This means that I MUST finish my Education assignment by tomorrow or I’ll have to pull all-nighters. As it is 50% and due on Monday. I’ll just go out in the morning at 9 AM to Brandon Park for this week’s share of food (gotta remember not to buy much considering I won’t be around on this Sunday, next Thursday, maybe Friday, Saturday and Sunday) then spend the rest of tomorrow at home. Should be fine, I got half of it done (without editing of course, I’ll need to leave Monday for editing).
